The Northern Sentinel™ Honeylocust is part of the Sentinel® family of trees from J. Frank Schmidt & Son Co. It is a tall, narrow, upright, deciduous tree that is ideal for street tree and parking lot plantings. It is incredibly hardy in cold climates and rarely produces seed. Small green leaves turn an attractive yellow in fall then blow away for easy clean-up.
The Northern Sentinel™ Honeylocust is a fast-growing larger tree that is tough and reliable. It thrives in full sun in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It can become drought tolerant once established. It is tolerant of urban pollution and can thrive in city environments, making it a popular choice in urban settings and for municipality use.
